Debaforme was born from a clear vision: that of Cédric Bafundisa, a designer for whom elegance is not limited to appearances, but reflects the soul of the wearer. As founder and creative director, he embodies the union of heritage, expertise, and a contemporary approach to luxury tailoring.
Fashion entered Cédric’s life through the home. His mother, a seamstress, instilled in him at a young age a love of design, respect for detail, and the power of a well-made garment. On the other hand, his father, always impeccably dressed, had a suit for every occasion. This almost ceremonial sense of style had a profound impact on Cédric and continues to inform his artistic vision today.

Although born in France, Cédric grew up and forged his sensibility in Montreal. This multicultural city became a field of observation, influence, and expression, allowing him to develop a style that was at once refined, assertive, and connected to each individual’s identity. His vision of design is rooted in the reality of the people he dresses, while simultaneously elevating them.

Before Debaforme, Cédric worked as a personal stylist, working with diverse and demanding clients. It was there that he perfected his sense of bespoke service, his eye for proportions, and his ability to read people. This human experience profoundly enriched his approach to clothing: it’s not just about dressing, but about revealing.
